Now that our long and arduous journey is over, and our Headquarters is safely re-established, my directors and I can look back on the events described in the book MOUSEMOBILE–and laugh about some of our adventures. The terrifying driving of Mr. Fred. The outburst of Pig Latin. That dinner in the forest. The case of mistaken identity.
At the time, it is true, the epic journey was hardly enjoyable. It strained relations between the species, and led my Headquarters staff into the risk of confrontation with some of the more depressing specimens of homo sapiens, humans whose actions could have caused irreparable damage to the planet.
However, as readers of Mousemobile will find, it all came out in a way satisfying to both mice and humans. In Shakespeare’s words, “All’s well that ends well.”
